Heresy began as an idea in December, 2011. An idea of a place where goths, rivet heads, stompers, death rockers, and new wavers can come together once a month to dance, drink with friends, meet new friends, be around like minded-open minded people, wear their sexiest outfits, and see a live band perform.

The result was an overwhelming response to the first club event. People received Heresy well and asked when the next one was going to be. Since then, we have tried to ride an even balance between goth and industrial genres of music.

WHY HERESY?

The word Heresy is a belief, view, or opinion you have that is in opposition to an established authority, orthodoxy, or mainstream belief. Its largely used in religious circles. If you dont believe what the mainstream, predominant religious belief is, then you believe heresy, and you are a heretic.

The key here is that the heretic does not believe they are wrong. They believe the establishment is wrong! And so it is with our club. We promote dark alternative, underground music, which is different. We dress a little different. We express ourselves a little different. As a result, you may say that we believe in heresy.

We hold a different view on how to express ourselves and we have a lot of fun doing it! If you can relate to this belief, and enjoy the darker, more sensual side of life, then you will be in good company at Heresy! We cant wait to party with you!

It is our desire to put on club events once a month that promote all things dark alternative. Industrial music is in heavy rotation at Heresy, as well as EBM, Synth Pop, Dark Electro, Old School Goth, Death Rock, and Dark 80's.

At any Heresy event, you may hear us go from The Cure, to Skinny Puppy, to Joy Division, to Wumpscut, to Noisuf-X, to Killing Joke in our dj dance sets.

Heresy aims to provide an environment where those who enjoy the darker side of life can get together with friends and enjoy a night of dark alternative music, dark alternative fashion, sensory overload, and open minded interaction with friends. We want to create a dark alternative music scene that unites people and cultivates friendships.

Music has a way of uniting us, even when we disagree on other things. So it is with Heresy. The whole world may look at us and call us weird, but if theres anywhere a goth, punk rocker, rivet head, or death rocker can be loved, understood, and accepted, its at Heresy.
